Tightening broom head

Hi all, I recently got a used Asham carbon fibre broom from a friend, and after using it a couple times I've noticed that the head of the broom is loose... What I mean by this is that the head is moving too freely - if you try moving the head back and forth there is little resistance; this causes the head to flip back and forth unintentionally. I see there are two screws on the end of the broom handle but I'm not sure what those are for and whether or not this would even solve my problem. Would anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Matt

You will need an allen key to tighten the screw where the shaft meets the head (this is no sexual euphemism). Watch you don't tighten too hard and break the key off as i did...

If that doesn't work, my broom was fixed in this regard by putting a new piece of teflon (or use some tape) in the socket where the handle meets the broomhead. That area gets worn by pressure, making it move too freely.

Take the pad off the broom. In the middle of the pad there is a square/circle cutout. Fill it with cardboard. Done.
