*THIS* is how sponsorship commercials should be done
And yes, I know that Geico is not a sponsor of US Curling officially...but this commercial is a hell of a lot more than the Imitation Cheese Product "Do the Curl" garbage...

(Featuring several curlers from the Potomac Curling Club, this was shot last fall at the ice rink next to our facility using our stuff, as our ice wasn't in yet)

Nothing is ever good enough for some people...
You're not the first to trash Cheetos on here but not naming them, a company who IS sponsoring curling in the United States.
The Do The Curl video has almost 150,000 view on Youtube, a great start to the cross promotion of the game.
Eat those Cheetos and support USA Curling. Why not support both the Do-The-Curl advert AND GEICO's attempt to show curling in one of their commercials?

Because the "Do the curl" video was insulting to the game?
Because the only commentary I've heard from anyone about it was "Your sport is so easy you can eat Cheetos while playing?"
Whereas someone who referees for rugby came to me in the office this morning and pointed this out to me saying "Hey, your sport is in a great Geico Commercial". And when viewing that commercial you see that the sport is respected and honored and the effort and time sunk into it by our best competitors was recognized and honored appropriately.
I realize your livelihood depends on curling having as much money as possible, Gerry...but frankly, there is some money we don't need.
(Plus, frankly, it's obvious to the most casual of observer that Frito Lay doesn't actually care about curling....or else in the month since the Gold Medal game we would have seen something updated from them)

I think Cheetos was trying to make a viral video of some sort. Kind of how the Swedish Women's Olympic team several cycles ago (Norberg) did a music video with a Swedish heavy metal band and during the Olympics it went viral.

Kind of funny....Gerry calling support for Canadian Curling when he is trying to market tools to help the rest of the world beat us? Two faces to this.....personal greed vs purism.

I just tried it again. This time it showed a 15 sec video of Jr golf, then the curling video
And yes it's about the Ryder Cup returning to Minnesota featuring Team Shuster
