Yep. And if I'm a Sask team just coming out of junior I call her up and say hey Sherri how about one more go round? She's a gamer and would probably jump right in and win or lose that team would learn a ton.

I don’t have all the links and clips and quotes and 50 posts to discuss as others here may have. However I’d guess she’s been to the Scottie’s about 10 times or more. Never won but many times in the hunt. Won the seniors a bunch. With the right youngin’s willing to learn, I bet she could make it to the Scottie’s again. Always like the so called underdog against the big sponsored and CC funded teams. Hope she tries again.
Go Sherry Go.

No guessing, the official Scotties/Brier/Canada Cup/Trials stats are available for all to see.
https://stats.curling.io/players/anderson-sherry
8 Canada Cups, 10 Scotties (2x alternate), 4 Trials (1x alternate).

Her real chance was the 2002 final. Unfortunately she put up 69% against Colleen Jones' best game ever.

As for Homan, I think that they can literally go anywhere to replace Courtney. If they are commited to the 4 year cycle. Homan's team can play out of Ontario no matter who they bring in, but I wouldn't be shocked if their newest player is from Alberta that they play out of there.
You know what would be cool?. Staying in quebec where they are.

I'd like for them to stay in Quebec too, great reps for the province.

I think they were saying they could get their 4th player from Ontario not move there. Their last player was from around Ottawa?

Yes Hailey lived in Ottawa. I thought something was up with that team when the spare Alanna Routledge started vicing at the Scotties

Team Darcy Robertson is splitting. From their FB page:
Team Robertson
After four great years together, Team Robertson has decided to part ways. We shared some amazing memories and moments together and are proud of what we were able to achieve. We will each be pursuing our own curling and personal opportunities. Thank you to our friends and family, coaches Cathy Gauthier and Kerry Burtnyk, and our sponsors for supporting us over the years! 🤍

Not a permanent announcement, but Colin Hodgson out for the Brier due to COVID and injury. Colton Lott to lead, Kyle Doering to fifth.

If Tardi is joining Bottcher, why’d he waste time and miss out on this year’s Brier?

Great question. Why? Maybe Bottcher is still waiting. After the Brier many more experienced opportunities. With less attitude.

I would think Tardi joining up with Matt Dunstone is a possibility. Matt lives in Kamloops with Erin Pincott from Team Brown. Tyler is partners with Dezaray Hawes also of Team Brown. Curling out of BC for a Dunstone team would be close to an auto-berth to Briers, etc.

Tardi isn't really a surprise. They definitely aren't where I or I'm sure many thought they'd be by now. I don't know where Tyler goes but I'd be surprised if he stays in bc .bc there arent many good options for him there
Teaming up with bottcher or Dunstone or maybe even Harty seem most likely

Yah the one BC option would be with Dunstone as someone posted. If not that he will have options. Have heard team Koe is breaking up but haven't heard if Koe is retiring or continuing. Maybe he does a Kevin Martin and gets a young team focussed on nothing but curling for 4 year Olympic run in which case Tardi would fit right in. Plenty of other teams might need thirds too. Down east there's probably Epping and maybe Jacobs, perhaps even Scott Howard or Horgan. Maybe Lott in Manitoba. I think Bottcher is out, if he was going there it would be right away for the Brier but there are young Alberta teams that might be interested, Sturmay, Harty, maybe even Gallant. Best fit would be at 2nd for Gushue if Gallant leaves and Gushue continues on. That would be like getting a MBA in curling.

I'm just not sure a tardi/dunstone pair works. They're lifetimes skips and it's hard to see 9ne playing 3rd for the other. I could see ine playing 3rd for a veteran with experience, which leads to the theory of tardi joining koe.
Or 8f gallant does go to Alberta and tardi joins him that could work but if gallant goes to Alberta I'd see a gallant/bottcher team making more sense.
I've been trying to think 9f who tardi could team up with in BC who would make sense and the 9ne guy I could think 9f that could make a strong g 3rd would be tyrel Griffith but then I'm not sure who the other 2 could be.
He could go to Manitoba and team up with the Lott brothers

Tristan Steinke moving from Team Sturmay to Team Webb.
Team Karsten Sturmay
It was a good run AND a long run!
All the best to our third, Tristan Steinke, in the next stage of his curling journey as he joins Team Webb next season. 👏🏻
Tristan is an incredible teammate, fierce competitor, and will be a lifelong friend. He's competed with Glenn since 2018, Chris since 2015, and Karsten since 2012. _
We've won Alberta jackets, a Canada jacket, a Universiade Silver Medal, and lost two provincial men's finals together. Tristan's contributions to Team Sturmay have made us all better curlers, and better people. ☺
Glenn, Chris & Karsten have yet to decide what next season looks like for them - we'll keep you posted when we do! Until then, we're looking forward to closing out this season on a positive note at the Alberta Curling Tour Championship, and the SGI Canada Best of the West. 👌🏻
Team WEBB
Team WEBB is happy to officially announce our roster heading into the 2022/2023 Season! We welcome Tristan Steinke as the newest member of our team!
Skip: Scott Webb
Third: Tristan Steinke
Second: Jordan Steinke
Lead: Andrew Dunbar
Coach: Warren Dunbar
Throughout the off season we will be announcing all of our wonderful sponsors and releasing our competition schedule!
Stay Tuned!

Nobody seems to think Brent Pierce will be making a run at the next Olympic berth. He seems to be BC's up and coming team along with M.A. Arsenault in the women's.
