Yeah, his name is Rollen Stewart who is currently serving 3 life terms in prison. He was a pro at sticking his face into the limelight from the background ala J.Jones.

Rogers Grand Slam Cup
quote: JONATHAN BRAZEAU APRIL 13, 2016
Ottawa’s Rachel Homan has locked up the women’s Rogers Grand Slam Cup following an 8-3 victory over Winnipeg’s Kerri Einarson during Draw 4 of the Players’ Championship Wednesday afternoon.
Homan scored deuces in the first and third ends and iced the match with a four-ender in the sixth to clinch the overall season title and the $75,000 bonus.
Team Homan were able to clinch the Rogers Grand Slam Cup early thanks to a sensational season winning three consecutive Grand Slam titles this season taking the Masters, National and Canadian Open.
They entered the Players’ Championship with a 23-point lead and needed just two wins for the trophy.
Team Homan now look to become the first rink to sweep the four majors.
Well Done Dream Team.. keep going !! ..

Mike McEwen at 36%? That might be the worst game of his life. Hope he's feeling O.K. because that percentage is scary low.

They are half way thru a Olympic cycle.. they are committed to each other at least for 2 years..
It is laughable for you to think any sort of team Simmons puts together is better than McEwen perhaps you forgot McEwen did beat Simmons at this years Brier
If you want to keep on hating and denigrating the McEwen team go ahead I guess but the reality is going into the Brier they were 3rd in CTRS points.. How you perceive them and want to think of them doesn't match reality

McEwen made the playoffs very easily lol He finished in 4th place with a 8-3 record and the 5th place team Simmons had a 6-5 record...... Again do you just make stuff up to denigrate the McEwen team or do you have a warped sense of reality

think their are a lot of teams that wish they were as Bad Has McEwan and Gushue. Simmons never even made it to the players

ML...well thought out post on McEwen
Its an unpleasant pill to swallow but you might be on point
This McEwen Team were mulling over splitting up as well but decided to keep going because they are so close off-ice
In your list of 2nd-tier Teams I only see one as having a great future.. Brendan Bottcher....Adding world class curler Scoffin to his line up only makes the move up better
The McEwen Team are still only mid-30's in age so still have time ahead..
but they really seemed to have topped out on their ability to be best in the world
Never did understand why they thought Jon Mead would be the magic elixir.. he isnt a sports psychologist or high performance coach..

Actually it was Laycock doing the tormenting last night. That team is coming along nicely.

Steve is only 33 and his young.. very talented squad do NOT need to be "upgraded"..
They just need to play into form..
Laycock is one of Canada's top skips..

I'm going to try to get there either Friday or Sunday. The last time I was there was to see "My" Carleton Ravens hoops team.
Unless I'm mistaken, are they using five...count-'em... FIVE sheets of ice? Hmmm, maybe the Brier/Scotties folks might want to take a look-that's potentially 10 extra games (more if you start Saturday morning and add Monday morning. That would accommodate a couple of extra teams...same at the Worlds-Asia is ready for a third team-maybe a Southern Hemisphere rep too, eh Hans?

I'd be interested in hearing any feedback/input on the team dynamic of Pat Simmons subbing on Shuster's team.....looks like they are 1-2.
Is Simmons giving a lot of input or is he letting Shuster call his own game?

I think as a second he is letting John call the game. I'm sure Shuster isn't afraid of asking for his opinion.
They would be 2-1 if John's hammer in the 8th would have touched the four foot against Murdoch. Threw it deep.

So is a skip who cannot find draw weight in Toronto. What a nightmare this week for that rink.

A lot of talk about Carey not getting the Trail Spot and it going to the top team other than Homan who already has one. is that the same for Koe to because he had his?

She knew Nixon wouldn't be competing so her being there was the only way the team could obtain CTRS points. But if I'm Jocelyn Peterman I'm looking up the dates for the Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Trials next year...

Carey's team is playing poorly right now. Hopefully for them I think it is temporary. The fact that draw weight for Carey seems to be struggling now, I would suggest their coach and the team work out a better system for weight control. The current system does not appear to be working and the mantra (irritating to the viewers) should be discontinued. The mental aspect of Carey's game is very low. As far as the team breaking up, this is a good example of the sum is greater than the parts. Individually the players may not be strong, but, a STOH championship demonstrated that it is a team game.
