I think jones will do wonders for this team. Not only strategy wise but her many years of experiences of seen it all, done it all, will help them grow to the next level. Like this team. Can’t go wrong with a couple Maritimers.

I agree, I think JJ's veteran experience will be amazing for these ladies.

Honestly, I don't see the Zacharias kids tolerating Jones for more than one season. Her being with them for 4 years will paralyze their growth more than help it. Even if Jones throws Lead rocks and skips, I still see it as a negative circumstance.
Take one year and learn from her - ok. Then it'll be time for them to learn to make their own decisions and fly off on their own.

I agree with this. If the main point of bringing Jones in is to learn strategy, draw from experience, etc., then Jones should be their coach. Not teammate.

Totally agree. Don't see Jones calling game and throwing front end rocks. If she is throwing last rock or third stones this is a mistake as Zacharias and Burgess are both on a similar shotmaking level as JJ the difference being they will get better while she is on the way down. Yes they'll learn some strategy but they'll lose the experience of facing pressure shots with the game on the line.

Make it 30 yards. I’ll pile on also.

Oh, I don’t know. If nothing else, they move up 16 letters in alphabetical order with Jones skipping.

Coaching with someone and playing with them is totally different. You learn a lot more with the latter. I also expect this carries another significant bonus: sponsorship. Jones will surely carry a lot of her sponsors with her, something Zacharias does not have the ability to match. That type of funding is a game changer (Jones is likely near the top of female curlers for this?).
Also the odds of them still being together in 2026 are probably less than 50% anyway. 2 years together then move on.

Suspect it is very unlikely that Zacharias will lose her ability to deliver that final brick while playing Third for a relatively short period time.
However, the key to this team's success over the last two seasons has been Karlee Burgess, the Bluenoser, and should she get ticked off playing Second and having to listen to jones repeat "Sorry" over and over and over again, I can see her looking around and being swooped up very quickly.

Bottcher splits. Statement indicates parting ways but that doesn't mean a couple couldn't stick together.

I wonder if Team Bottcher is splitting up for “personal” reasons.

Zero surprise: Horgan splits.
And here's even a link: https://twitter.com/HorganCurling/s...884623800737792 lol
This certainly sets Tanner up to return North with one or more of the Harndens. If Epping was smart he'd take Camm and pick up Forget and Beuk. That's about as good as he can expect out of Ontario right now unless Howard splits (and they can do better than Epping via an import).
