Anyone Know what Sigurdsons old team is up to? Does Coleman skip and they just pick up one more guy?
Kammerlock, McEwen? as in Mike McEwen?

Pretty sure they were talking about Dan Kammerlock and Mike McEwen.

You managed to get at least one of these right I guess. Nolan and I are looking for a couple more guys. Been talking to a few people but everyone has said pretty much the same thing and that is that they are not sure what we are doing yet. We have some sponsorship and are looking to play a pretty solid schedule again next year. Personally I'd like to have something in place sooner rather then later. As far as positions go, we are open to play whatever works best. PM me on here or send me an email at twissjustin@gmail.com if your interested and we can go from there.

Well the last I heard was he might be taking the year off. But also heard that Mcnamee was wanting to get back on the scene so could see a lineup of Mcnamee, Irwin, Taylor, Saban. Looks like Joey Witherspoon might be taking a year off also or just playing a reduced schedule.
Also looks like a team of Coleman, Irving, McMillan, Van Wellinghem might be a team for next season

Did Jill Thurstons team all split? Seen that it was Strath, Meilleur, Doerksen, Karwacki. Good team if they are playing together

He's probably the top 3rd in the province, immo....
Unless Jon Mead returns!
Anyone care to rank the top 4 or 5 3rds in Manitoba?
Why would Moskowy stay? Isn't he living and working there now? or back in Sask for the off season? They had a good run. A few years together would make them formidable. they give Mike McEwan a good run for his money. Hope they do stay together.

"Bray Moskowy"
After a good year together we decided as a team that we are sticking together for a four year run.

Not really a surprise here. Will only get better with time. Could give Mike and Manitoba fits for the next 4 years. Good luck to you guys

I believe Moskowy still lives in Sask.

You say a lot of dumb things, but this has got to be near the top of the list. Reid is easily the top threat to win Manitoba next year? Just stop it. McEwen's team is substantially better and has had much more success than Reid's team. They've been doing it longer and better. Reid won the province last year, and full marks to him for that, but that doesn't mean anything next year besides a bye to the provincial championship.
If you are saying they are the top threat to repeat in a literal sense, then you are correct, as they were the only team to win Manitoba last year, so they are the only one that could repeat. If you meant it that way, it's still ridiculous to say.

Surprising what you read into my comments. I did say McEwen's team was significantly better (on paper and on the cash circuit). Didn't say Reid's record at the Brier was an embarrassment for Manitoba curling (which it was).
However, you're making a large assumption that Mike will forget all the disappointments of Safeways squandered - and will just routinely cut thru the field like a hot knife thru butter.
I've also advocated the Slam winner (points winner) should also be given a Brier spot but I suspect that's a non-starter for the next 2 or 3 years - maybe 5 to 10 years away from serious consideration.
enough with saying reid embarrassed manitoba . he was involved in a number of games that really could have gone either way. they were just on the wrong side of the inch

Couldn't help but smile when I read that. It is good for the game and the fans to have so much talent in Manitoba or scoop talent from out West.

I think its obvious Mike McEwen & co. will stay together. Such a fabulous year (with 1 major event to come) - it makes the extreme disappointment of squandering another Safeway Manitoba championship seem rather minor (although I'm sure its not to Mike)
Only alternative would have been for Mikey to curl out of Kenora and capture the N. Ontario championship. But General Jacobs foiled that plan by losing the Brier final - and if Mike thought Manitoba was tough getting by Jacobs would be nearly impossible.
Mike has to re-set and try something else in Manitoba.
Well there is always Nunuvut

Not to mention the Brier field this year featured 9 Olympic Gold Medalists, 1 Olympic Silver Medalist, and 15 Former Brier Champions... Tough Field
