SInce crowds not allowed at Brier or Scotties why not move the thing to a Bubble club in Winnipeg and use Winnipeg hotels/transport to maintain said bubble?
Alberta still showing high numbers and deaths from pandemic. Still a legit risk the event could be postponed or god forbid cancelled.
Only thing Calgary has going for it is planning, travel, ice-makers, limited volunteers, media, etc. Prolly too late to shift venue!
Well for one thing its way to late to shift the venue. At this point its either happening in Calgary or not at all
I do think the venue chosen was a mistake to start with given Alberta's late response. But we'll see. It sure would be a nightmare to have it cancelled last minute or for a breakout to occur during the scotties and have everything else shut down
