I agree with J-Ho. I'm 20 years old and have curled for 15 years. If I wanted to play in this event I would almost have to play with people younger than myself to not go over the age limit. In only one year from now my current junior team will have already exceeded your 60 years experience and thus be ineligible for your event. May need to raise that number just a tad.

Interesting concept, but I totally agree with J-Ho. What does years of experience have to do with being a front end player? This basically excludes most older curlers from playing, since they will often have 30+ years of experience just for themselves. There's already a clause to restrict teams with "No more then 2 players can have won OCA or Provincial Zone patches (Junior or Men) on a team.", and that should be good enough.

answers to questions...

The rules have been put in place for the following reasons.

1. The 60 year limit on time curling was to limit the likelyhood that we would get someone trying to stack any of the teams. Also we are trying to engage some of the newer curlers into the game, and get them into competitive (yet fun) curling. Is it too much? It might be, I think the intention made a lot of sense at the time, and will be reviewed for next years event as we expand the format.

2. Rules 3,4,5... just making sure someone is reading things.

Looking forward to seeing some of you at the event.

Hmmm..... Might have to plan for that. Great job Brent.
Its about time front-enders have a chance to break away from the oppression of the "almighty" back-enders.

Can anyone give an update/feedback on this event? How many teams participated? Will this be running again?
