Yes, Carey played great. I'm getting concerned that I'm agreeing with you more and more .

Not sure why age plays such a factor for skips. Most athletes peak in their 20's, but it looks like skips peak well into their 30's. Of the 12 skips in this year's Scotties only Tracy Horgan is in her 20's - there are only 2 between 30-34, half the field skips (6) are in the 35-38 band, and 3 are gracefully 39 or more (guessing Becky Atkinson is 30 or 31). Young skips like Carey, Horgan or Homan certainly can play and win at this level - surprising there aren't more.
