Introducing the Curling Timer App!
Sweepers and skips can time rocks from the back line to the near hog line. After timing the rock, the app will provide a prediction for where the rock will stop.
- Hog
- Long Guard
- Mid Guard
- Tight Guard
- Top 12
- Top 8
- Top 4
- T-Line
- Back 4
- Back 8
- Back 12
- Through
After a 5 sec delay, a results menu will appear to enter the actual ending location. The app will then adjust future predictions based on the speed of the ice.
The app can track three separate ice speeds (calibrations) if the user chooses to select the shot direction (left, center, or right) on the main timing page. Alternatively, the user can just use the center as an overall calibration for the ice speed. On the calibration status page, the menu option allows the user to reset the calibration data (CAL Value) or flip the left and right side values. The page provides an indication (red = slow, green = fast) and a "relative value" for the ice condition.
A results page counts the ending locations of all rocks tracked during the session and provides a percentage correct value and a green indicator on the timing page when the value is above 75%.
The app will save the calibration data if the app is closed or re-started.
