A touch of pandemic boredom here, so I thought I'd write something that I wanted to write many months ago.

I disagreed with many of Rick's decisions. That doesn't prohibit me from saying that USA curling owes him a great debt.

Rick came into the job during a time of great changes and his tenure continued to task him with great changes all the way to its end. Curling is very much a game of traditions and Rick had to drag us, often kicking and screaming, into a new era with new traditions.

If someday my life crosses paths with Rick again, I will sincerely tell him, "Thank You." Even through the differences of opinion, I can see we are better off because of many things he promoted...often over loud objections...sometimes my loud objections.
