Safeway Top 10 and Why!

1. Stoughton: defending champ and if motivated will likely
win it again. Their team photo has 5 chins, 2 of which
belong to the Reid. Gary Lawless looks to be in better
shape! Nichols is like a pregnant front end curler, he is
sweeping for two!

2. McEwan: Should have won this little bonspiel by now. Not
sure a team coached by Gargamel deserves much better. At
least Mike tries to be likeable. Too bad Ebay doesn’t sell
personality or class, hey other three!

3. Fowler: Should not be this high based on their year.
Didn't think the front end could be worse once they got
rid of Don'tknow, but they certainly managed to do it.
Lyburn is the strength of this team, Fowler believes in
himself… that’s it… himself.

4. Grassie: Definitely missing Chambers, but the biggest perk
of being a novelist and living with Mom and Dad is the warm
talks and kind words at suppertime, every night, when you
are 35 and an otherwise swingin batchelor.

5. Lyburn: This team is not close to the team they were with
Kirkness playing 3rd. Replacing Kirkness with a bunch of
trees and adding Connor Negative smells like these boys
better bring some Ass Jelly.

6. Ramsey: Beer and Bull**** seems to be the priority, but
if these throwbacks don’t have to play early morning
games, they are Joe Pesci in GoodFellas dangerous!

7. S.Sigurdson: Good young team . Slow and steady sometimes
wins the race and Skipper looks like he got punched in the
face! Just funning boys, But really skipper looks like
he’s got gout!

8. Kraichy: Me watching these guys play is like me watching
a performance at The Fringe Festival. I don’t know what
the hell is going on and I don’t think they do either.
Nice guys though.

9. Irwin: Captain Dominion and his four man Luge team will
miss Mr. Manitoba Mixed McNamee at The Safeway. McNamee
will be the first to tell you he is a sure fire Hall of
Famer and his old crew might wanna hang with Willy.

10 B. Sigurdson: These Senior Super Stars are all in better
shape then Stoughton’s 2nd. Bob is talented and good
looking, the rest are not so much, but it just might be
enough to win them a few games.

Have to disagree with Fowler commentary. Since acquiring Brendan Taylor, they are doing better, still have to gel more as a team. When they're on fire and do the little things right, they are as solid as the bigger names eg. Koe in particular.

Have to think that this will be Mike McEwen's time to either just win or find a strange way to bow down in the playoffs either to Stoughton, Fowler or Grassie. If McEwen somehow loses, there will be some serious questions to be asked. They're too good of a team not to get to the Brier.

Sorry Nelski, I do not currently play on any of the Top 10. I used to be pretty good, and will continue to battle in anonymity until I do not care to play anymore. I am buddies with some on the list, and give them a stab harder than those I don't know.
I am just abit fatter than Reid Carruthers, but not good enough to play with the top 2, I could definitely drink beers with Ramsey's boys, Irwin's team of sexually confused bumpkins and I confuse The Lyburn brothers with The Bone brothers... Bone brothers, that is funny, cause are they takin it or given it?

5thstone(Robby's mom?, Brendan?) and I will have to disagree. The only little things these boys could be doing right are midget prostitutes!

Just about to spark a fatty, head out to The Bar and maybe bang one later! Ledge, I think we could get along. I like your passion. I like Lagavulin, sweet herb and my ladies all 70’s style. I mean google Dawn Shaw, a Penthouse Pet from September 1976 and tell me that isn’t something else.
I am a bit of a shooting star to this little forum. I don’t have the patience for the political correction my posts will solicit. I will play in the first Manitoba Open and I am hoping to party with my buds(ha, ha, double entendre), win some games and take home some tubby talent.
I do not know much about women’s curling, but I hope Chelsea Carey wins The Scottie!
