Dairy Farmers Of Ontario Men's Tankard - Challenge Round

What happened in the C Division Final between Tuck and Heggestad. Played one end and shook hands? http://ontcurl.com/scoreboard shows 1-0 final.

Maybe bad weather held up team Heggestead? Funny scheduling - on a Monday morning. Why not have it on Sunday night? Maybe 7pm to give the teams a rest.

Wayne Tuck had posted on facebook that they did not want to play a fourth game Sunday and Cory could not field a team for Monday so Tuck won by forfeit.

How unfair to any teams that were eliminated by Heggested. If he couldn't play the entire event he shouldn't have played at all.

Yes, surely they looked at the schedule! What if Tuck makes it to the Brier and has to play a tiebreaker at midnight? 1 hour after a game?

This is something that never should have happened. The format of the draw caused the issue. There's existing draws that could have played this out in three days, instead they didn't consider those options here.

The event competition poster also listed it as a 3-day event starting on the 19th and finishing on the 21st.

The rules state maximum 3 games per day. I say let both teams go to the Tankard.. I completely understand not wanting to play 4. However the other team was told a 3 day event. It's triple knockout at the Tankard anyway and what a story to have them play each other first.

I'm confused. It was the C Final. Was it originally scheduled for Sunday night? Or was it scheduled for Monday morning all along?

The draw was still up here yesterday and it showed Monday. However,, sometimes the online draw is different from the official draw posted at the club.

When draw was posted it was scheduled for Monday morning. Teams had the option to play Sunday night but Tuck had already played 3 games that day. Not all teams would be in this position though.
