The Thistle Integrity Stakes cashspiel on the Manitoba Curling Tour (MCT) is set to begin on Friday, November 30th, with the first draw at 6:30 pm. Twenty mens teams and four womens teams are vying for final invitations to the MCT championships the next weekend in Beausejour.
Five junior teams that have their junior provincial spots locked up are competing in the spiel. This is a great opportunity for these teams to test their skills against some of Manitoba's better teams. These junior teams are as follows: Kyle Doering (defending provincial junior mens champion), Matt Dunstone, Daniel Birchard, Shannon Birchard and Alyssa Vandepoele. Other notable teams competing are Sean Grassie, Dean Dunstone, Trevor Loreth, Richard Muntain, Jared Kolomaya and Joelle Brown.
The draw times are 6:30 pm and 9 pm Friday; 9 am, 11:30 am, 2 pm, 5:30 pm and 8 pm on Saturday; 10 am, 1 pm and 4 pm (quarter-finals) on Sunday; then 6 pm (semifinals) and 8:30 pm (final) on Monday.
