My first instinct is, if audience doesn't have to be factored in, host it in Toronto! The TV crew is handy. Just as in Europe, nobody attends curling events in Toronto anyway. But yeah - there are more curlers out west.
Sponsorship packages will have to change. The Tier II and grassroots events sponsorship will suffer the most. Teams who can offer televised profile have that leg up.
I have been enjoying the WCF and CurlingCanada instagram takeovers - getting to know some curlers. The intimate and personal side of the players can be a new direction. Also, is there an issue with practice ice, ice time? Are these coming available soon?
