CZ point of order/question
I have a Curling Zone forums question.
If the members feel there are one or more posters here who are not having their posts moderated to a satisfactory degree, i.e. we think they’re trolls and nothing’s being done about them, where do we take our complaints to? Is there a way to vote to suspend or ban someone we feel is trolling repeatedly?

Why bother? The biggest troll on the site has almost 12,000 posts and is allowed to say whatever they want-regardless how inaccurate or insulting-and gets away with no punishment simply because they keep the hit counts going for advertisers.

That's who I mean to complain about jamcam.
I'm asking in public because I've never had any luck getting Gerry to respond to a PM on other issues.

Feel free to email me directly at gerry@curlingzone.com .
We've had some issues with emails being sent from the site this season which has caused a few issues but I just can't fix it now.
I'm also cleaning up threads/posts as I find them, but often there's just more than I can cover. Let us know if you see something that doesn't belong.

For the record, I sent an email about this to Gerry’s address two days ago, and have yet to receive any response.

You won't get one. ML pumps up the hit count for the site and makes Gerry's advertisers happy.
This is a common problem on a lot of forum discussion sites where a troll dominates the number of posts and even though they take threads off topic or exceed the boundaries of taste or intelligence, the mods/owner won't do anything about them because the troll (ML) generates cash flow.
To ease your pain though, I have devised what I call the Manitoba Legend Drinking Game.
Here's how it works:
First-call up a group of curling friends and get plenty of your favorite alcoholic beverages handy, because you're gonna need em!
Second, pick any thread-and I mean any thread-on CZ and open it up
Third-scroll down to the first post made by ML and read it.
Each person drinks a shot (you can modify it to a sip if you want the game to last longer) if the post contains:
a) a mention of Jennifer Jones or any member of her current or past teammates
b) a mention of Rachel Homan or teammates past and present
c) a passive/aggressive slight against any other team (ie Carey for example) who has dared beat either of his two aforementioned favorites and wear the Canadian Flag on their jackets.
Fourth, there are 3 DOUBLE SHOT rules that occur if:
a)ML started the thread
b)He uses the term 'fawn' when referring to other teams
c)He takes a thread completely sideways by mentioning either Jones or Homan in a thread that has absolutely nothing to do with women's curling.
Now, to make the game last longer than one discussion thread you have the option of taking a sip as opposed to a full shot.
Enjoy the game, have your favorite hangover remedy on standby.

Plus, if he mentions your name in a derogatory way, everyone else has to shotgun a beer. Means your doing a good job.

Absolutely. The great thing is there's a ton of options to add your own rules to the game. Just remember that any additional rule will speed up your inebriation.!
