Hello fellow curling fans,

There is a curling memorabilia auction going on right now to help raise funds for Kids Up Front Calgary.

The funds raised from the online auction go towards my participation in a weekend Survivor-esque competition known as Stranded: Water Valley. All funds from the auction will be donated directly to Kids Up Front Calgary while also helping to further my personal message of mental health awareness.

Slightly confused- does the proceeds go to pay for your participation or to the charity?

A participant does not "pay" to participate. You apply to participate and go through a selection process to be a contestant.

The event serves a dual purpose: 1. Competition event 2. Fundraiser event for Kids Up Front Calgary

In agreeing to be a participant, one requirement is fundraising to help Kids Up Front continue to provide the outstanding opportunities for kids and families within the Calgary area.

All funds from the online auction go directly to Kids Up Front Calgary. 100%!
