Mid Season Top 10

We're past the midpoint of the season but still a couple of months away from the Viterra Championship. At this point, how would you rate the top 10??? This is probably going to cause a bit of a stir but here goes:

1) McEwen
2) Carruthers
3) Lyburn
4) Peters
5) Forrest
6) McIntyre
7) David Bohn
8) Dunstone
9) Kolomaya
10)Dennis Bohn

Irwin isn't really playing. Just did a couple events and I'm guessing they put a team into zones

Looks like you guys have it pretty much figured out for the men. How about for the women? Without Jennifer Jones, the Scotties will be wide open this season. Here's what the top 10 women might look like:

McDonald
Spencer
Einarson
Wiens (Montford)
Robertson
Brown
Overton-Clapham
Clark-Rouire
Birchard
Thurston

not necessarily in that order

I would agree that this seems like a two horse race. While there are some other decent teams in Manitoba, I would be shocked if it isn't a McEwen vs. Carruthers final.

Last year it was Jeff Stoughton's team who finished third I believe.

favorites:

Mcewen
Carruthers
Dunstone

then I have the contenders::

Lyburn
Calvert
Forrest

then there's the dark horses that are kind of hard to predict. they could go deep, they could go out early . hard to see any of them, winning but you never know.

Peters
Dennis Bohn
David Bohn
Kolomoya

Womens side favorites:

Mcdonald
Einarson
Spencer

Contenders:

Thurston
Overton-Clapham

Darkhorses:

Robertson
Brown
Birchard
Wiens
Clark-Rouire

There is always the Manitoba Open. 3 spots up for grabs plus the week before that there is a berth to the winner of the Brandon mens event.

Lots of good teams still in search of a spot

Top 8 in my opinion based on number and quality of events played and results to date;

1 & 2 - McEwen, Carruthers - toss up although Mike seems to be slumping a bit recently they also play high caliber events almost exclusively

3 & 4 - Lyburn, Forrest
These teams are playing many events and more WCT events than others and have been seeing results at this level

5 & 6 - Peters, Dunstone
These teams are playing mostly MCT events and are seeing results at this level

7 & 8 - McIntyre and Kolomaya
Same as above with lower results

Teams obtaining results at higher level events should receive credit and be ranked accordingly. If teams 3 & 4 for example would have played only on the MCT, the results may have been higher than they already are based on the level of competition.
