Quote -disappointed and yet carried out his duties to the tournament and the sport with as much class as he could.

Key words "as much class as he could" . Did you notice there was not the slightest note of a smile or inference of congrats when he put on that jacket? I say Jordons expression similar to Rachel's.

Or most recently, look at how Jordan had to present the green jacket after blowing the back 9 on Sunday at the Masters. He was deeply disappointed and yet carried out his duties to the tournament and the sport with as much class as he could. We should expect nothing less of a highly competitive curler playing on the international stage with some of the best teams in the world

It would be nice if we expected nothing but honesty and sincerity from curlers - and from all people - instead of expecting phoniness and artifice, as we do.

The examples you give (Arnie and Jack, etc.) are all fine - I have no problem with that stuff at all. It's a joy to watch.
What I'm saying is simply that it's grossly unfair to expect everyone to behave in that manner - because people are different. Just because someone does not react in a way that society views as being 'gracious' does not mean that the person lacks respect. Respect is an element which is entirely possible to feel without overtly expressing it. Some people are that way.

All we need expect from someone is that he/she give an honest representation of him/her self, period. No-one is on this Earth to conform to the wishes of anyone else. If their conscience is satisfied, so am I.

Cathy O is indeed a super sub. She subbed and threw 3rd rocks for Val Sweeting and helped them win the Masters of Curling. Not sure if she'll be playing in the Champions Event, but hope to see her in a slam event again. She'd be a great addition to a team with Olympic aspirations.
