Organizing and recalling information?

Have you ever experimented with techniques like the mind palace for organizing and recalling information? How has it worked for you in terms of memory retention and recall, especially in your work or personal projects?

I've always been fascinated by sherlocks mind palace. It's such a brilliant technique for organizing and recalling information. The idea of creating a mental space where you can store and retrieve memories as if they were physical objects in a room is both intriguing and practical. I've tried to incorporate a simplified version of this technique in my own life, especially when I need to remember important details for work or personal projects. It takes some practice to get used to, but it definitely helps with memory retention and recall. Anyone else here tried using a mind palace or a similar memory technique? What was your experience like?
