Merry Christmas! (Happy holidays for the perpetual grumpy)

Is it too early? Never! And as we get ready to celebrate the birth of the savior on the date of an ancient Roman orgy, (I have wine, picked up white sheet togas at COSTCO yesterday...if I could just get the wife to play the part of nubile servant girl), I want to say Merry Christmas to all and Happy Holidays to the minority. (And piss off to Scrooge and Grinch.)

I will say a special Merry Happy to those carrying Canada's colours at Sochi this year. "But Dino, we know you not a fan of our reps, and an anti-Harrisite to boot, (still chuckle over that), we have you on record time and time again." Yup, not denying that. But I believe I have also said that we all must support those who wear our colours. (All except Harper. My sincere wish is that Santa Duff drops another big load of coal----or something, down his chimney. Enough of a load that Herr Harper throws a tantrum and locks himself in the bathroom---again!)

Politics and personal feeling aside Merry Happy (Saturnalia) to all on the zone, with a great New Year for all. From The Wife, The Dogs, myself, and all the other critters here at Rancho Relaxo!

I don't know if it is the big kid in me but the day we take down the tree is a sad day. Because the wife is part Ukrainian we try to hold on, but eventually work and common sense tell us it's time. We were able to have a wonderful and peaceful holiday. We drank a little wine. We went for a couple treks on the snowshoes. Stayed inside at -35 and enjoyed each other, our little family of dogs and the best wishes of family and neighbors. We had a wonderful time. My wish is that you all did as well, and best in 2014.
